It’s time for Naperville Ale Fest Summer Edition!

On the fifth anniversary of Naperville’s original and biggest beer fest, we’re kicking things up a notch.

For starters, we’re bringing the summer edition of our festival back to beautiful Naper Settlement, and packing it full of over 200 unique American craft beers, live music and food from some of the area’s favorite restaurants and food trucks. With downtown Naperville as a backdrop, it is the ideal setting to experience everything the exciting world of craft beer has to offer.

We thought we’d try something a little bit different at this year’s Naperville Ale Fest by hosting a series of specialty mini-festivals within our giant beer fest! Why? Chicago loves festivals. We’ve got food fests, cider fests, large beer fests, small specialty beer fests… just about every type of festival you can imagine. We took them all, combined them, and moved into Naperville’s best venue.

Read more about our mini festivals below and grab your tickets before they’re gone – we have a TON of exciting announcements coming up.

The Mini Festivals

Food Truck Fest

There are few things we love more than food trucks. That’s why we’re packing Naperville Ale Fest with a mini food truck fest, and bringing 10 of our favorite trucks in the gates. Because with over 200 craft beer options, you’ll want something tasty to eat to pair with it.

Cider Alley

Cider Alley is a special place at our festival for those with a taste for something outside of the beer lane. It’s a tasty side trip from the malts, yeasts and hops into the world of ciders. We’ll be featuring craft ciders from Chicago and beyond, all perfect summer sipping.

House of Funk

The House of Funk celebrates all things wild aged, all things sours — all things funky. It’s a phrase that non-craft beer drinker might find, well — off-putting. But those in the know know that there’s just something special about sour beers, wild yeast and funky flavors.

The West Coast IPA Tent

We love IPAs. And while every region has their own special IPA variety, The West Coast is special. Because no one does hop-forward India Pale Ales quite like the breweries that invented them on the West Coast. We’ll be showcasing some of our favorite examples in this tent.

Lager Lane

The growing trend of craft lagers is one that we at Naperville Ale Fest and Lou Dog Events are really excited about. These aren’t your watered down, fizzy yellow “domestic beers.” They’re full-flavored and complex, sometimes with a touch of hops, but always easy-drinking.

Left Hand Nitro Tent

A “nitro beer” is one that ditches carbonation in favor of nitrogen. It creates a beautiful cascading look and a rich and creamy body that’s unmistakable. Left Hand Brewing out of Colorado has made a name perfecting this style and will be serving up four of their favorite nitrogenated creations at the Left Hand Nitro Tent.

Christmas in July

We love winter beers during the winter so much that we miss them when summer rolls around. That’s why we held back four of our favorite winter kegs and are tapping them at this summer party.

The Hop Review Presents: Ultra Fresh Tent

The guys behind one of Chicago’s premier craft beer blogs, The Hop Review, host a super unique party each year called Ultra Fresh. The event is a chance to celebrate fresh beer by pouring 20 beers that were kegged, canned or bottled within five days of the party. As special guests at Naperville Ale Fest, they’ll be curating a few of their favorites for the Ultra Fresh tent.

The 2017 Naperville Ale Fest – Winter Edition will take place on Saturday, February 24. Situated on the frozen tundra of Naperville’s Frontier Park – the fest will feature over 150 unique beers from craft breweries around the country. Pull out your long-johns and parkas, it’s time to experience winter’s best craft beers. The fest will also feature live music and food from some of Chicagoland’s favorite food trucks.
