3 Floyds has historically bottled and sold several other beers during the hot season, but this summer, they decided to go in a little bit of a different direction with what they are putting out there. Instead of their other mild summer session ales, they have decided to release a beer from their brew-pub that is just as tasty as it’s name. 3 Floyds Yum Yum is a session IPA made with American Malts and an extremely fruity character. This beer is easy to drink and could be described as juicy, making for the perfect summer beer to refresh those taste buds in the hot summer heat. Although it is hoppy like a classic IPA, it is also extremely flavorful with all of the fruity tastes the mouth can handle.

As it is poured into a glass, the beer holds a clear, orange gold with a little bit of a white head. The aroma out of the glass is similar of that of a classic IPA by means of malt and hop character, but there is also something a little different. The aroma is citrus accompanied by an earthy, floral grass smell. The flavor is very sweet initially with a finish that is as bitter on the back end and sticks with you for a while. This softly carbonated beer contains 5.5% ABV and is sure to make the drinker repeat themselves when they say “Yum”.
